Zero.
He was looking at himself. Blood covered his clothes and dripped from his hands. He could smell it on his skin. He could taste it in his mouth. It was the color of his eyes.
They had called him Zero. He had been the first to be found. The first to be tested. The first to be made to slaughter.
He was there but he was not. His mind had been turned numb. He did not think. He did not feel. Not to the men who stared up at him blankly in death. Not to the screams of women who were being slain. Not even to the innocent blood that poured from a newly born baby's body.

At the person's cry, the tavern exploded with the sound of loud gunfire. The two targets in question dove behind the bar like escaping rabbits. Bullet casings and shells were already clinking audibly on any surface that they crashed against, and those holding the guns didn't appear like they were going to let up anytime soon.
"Jason, I think you made the wrong person mad!" noted Jack to his partner in crime.
"Me?! If I recall correctly, you were the one spitting obscenities at the guy!" Jason countered.
"I'm drunk," Jack argued, "I had a legitimate excu
